These Terms set out the conditions for using the Amber Rocket website and for buying, selling or authenticating amber jewellery, antiques and vintage decor with us.

01Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or buying, selling or reserving items through Amber Rocket, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.
02Description of Services
Amber Rocket sells natural amber jewellery and amber products, antiques, vintage decor and collectible souvenirs, and offers authentication, provenance research, conservation referrals and collecting advice. Information on this website, including care guides, is provided for general guidance only.
03Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen years old to buy or sell items through us. When selling items to us, Japanese law requires us to verify your identity with valid official identification.
04Item Descriptions and Condition
Antiques and vintage items are by nature pre-owned and may show wear, patina, minor repairs or age-related imperfections. We describe condition, age and materials as accurately as possible and provide additional photographs on request. Colours of amber and other materials may appear differently on screen than in person.
05Pricing and Payment
All prices are shown in Japanese yen and include consumption tax unless stated otherwise. Items are reserved only once a deposit or full payment has been received. Because most pieces are unique, availability is confirmed at the time of payment.
06Delivery and Collection
We hand-deliver within Tokyo and ship insured parcels throughout Japan. Delivery costs are quoted before purchase. Risk passes to you on delivery or collection; please inspect items on arrival and report any transit damage within forty-eight hours.
07Authenticity Guarantee
Every item is sold with a thirty-day authenticity guarantee. If a recognised independent expert determines that an item materially differs from our written description of its material, age or origin, you may return it in the same condition for a full refund.
08Returns
Apart from the authenticity guarantee and your statutory rights, items may be returned within fourteen days of delivery if unworn, undamaged and in their original packaging. Items restrung, altered or conserved to your request cannot be returned unless faulty.
09Buying From Sellers
When we purchase items from you, you confirm that you are the legal owner and that the items are not stolen, subject to any claim, or restricted from sale. Offers made after an assessment are valid for fourteen days.
10Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to an item or service is limited to the price paid for that item or service. We are not liable for damage resulting from care contrary to the guidance we provide.
11Intellectual Property
All text, photographs, illustrations, logos and provenance cards on this website are the property of Amber Rocket or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission.
12Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, carrier disruption, pandemics or government action.
13Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
14Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
15Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your purchase or sale applies to that transaction, and the "Last updated" date shows when changes were made.
